mid-1950's charm, well-maintained rooms, effective noise insulation
Renovations needed on the top floor!!! Oddly spacious bathrooms that waste space!!! Strange bed linens and broken screens require attention!!! Heating issues could lead to discomfort during winter!!!

great spot for parks and local history explorations
I loved how easy it was to stroll over to Railroad Park and relax while soaking in the beautiful views and scenery, and the Mountain Home History Museum was just a short walk away, making for a wonderful day of exploration during my stay. the comfortable room and friendly service were also a huge plus for my solo traveling experience.

The location of Thunder Bird Motel is convenient, close to town. The room was clean with hot water and the Wi-Fi worked well, which made my stay easy. The bed was reasonably comfortable for a good night's rest. However, the walls were thin. I heard conversations from the neighbors and couldn't escape the train noise outside either. The heating wasn't consistent, making the room occasionally chilly. A few more electrical outlets in the bathroom would have been nice. I enjoyed the low rate, but the noise and heating issues might keep me from returning.

I stayed for one night in a Standard Queen Room. The room was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfy, and I slept really well. There was a microwave and mini fridge, which were awesome to have. The AC outlets in the alarm clock were a nice touch too. It's an older hotel, but everything worked fine for me.

A Memorable Overnight with Unique Charm
We enjoyed our one-night stay, finding the nostalgic decor refreshing and full of character. The large bathroom amazed us, despite its odd layout. If you are up for a quirky experience and don't mind a few quirks, you'll find this well-priced gem worth a visit.

A quirky throwback with character
Spent a night in the Standard Queen Room. Clean space with comfortable bed. Bathroom was huge but a bit empty, tiny shower. AC worked well, but there was no heater. Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and included refrigerator were nice touches. Manager was helpful, gave us ice for our coolers. Unique place for a budget stay.

clean but basic accommodations
The room was clean and had good hot water. The friendly staff provided helpful suggestions for nearby dining options that made our stay easier. While the location was convenient for travel, the overall atmosphere felt quite minimal. I appreciated the comfortable beds as they allowed for a refreshing night's sleep, something that is often overlooked.
There were no breakfast options available during our stay.

This place was just an ideal choice for a hurried visit in Mountain Home with good value for money. The quirky owner checking us in for 20 minutes had us chuckling at the absurdity. Make sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
